3-1-5: INVESTIGATION OF APPLICANTS AND/OR PREMISES:
The police or any other official designated by ordinance to make inspection under any licensing or regulatory ordinance or to enforce the same shall have the right of entry to any licensed place of business for the purpose of enforcement or inspection, and may arrest or cause to be arrested any person who violates the provisions of this or any license ordinance of the village.
Wherever any licensing or regulatory ordinance provides for inspection by the police chief, such inspection may be performed by said police chief or by his designated representative. (Ord. 280, 7-20-1968)
3-1-6: LICENSES TO BE POSTED:
Every licensee shall conspicuously post his certificate in the place of business in such place as to be in plain view, and no person shall destroy, alter or mutilate such certificate or other evidence of license. If the licensee has no regular established place of business, he shall then carry such license upon his person whenever engaged in his licensed occupation. (Ord. 280, 7-20-1968)
3-1-7: LICENSE FEES:
The annual license fees for specific businesses and occupations shall be as established by Title 1, Chapter 20, “Fees, Fines, Insurance, Guarantees, and Regulatory Measures”. (Ord. 2005-3937, 6-20-2005; amd. Ord. 2021-4921, 9-20-2021)
3-1-8: EXEMPTIONS FOR LOCAL CHARITABLE OR MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATIONS:
Those organizations described in subsections (A) and (B) of this section shall be exempt from the requirements set forth in Title 1, Chapter 20, “Fees, Fines, Insurance, Guarantees, and Regulatory Measures”.
   (A)   Charitable: A "charitable organization" shall mean and include an organization or institution, whose primary office is within the village, which is organized and operated to benefit an indefinite number of the public. The service rendered to those eligible for benefits must also confer some benefit on the public.
   (B)   Municipal: A "municipal organization" shall mean a body politic, organized in whole or in part within the village, pursuant to Illinois Compiled Statutes. (Ord. 82-1047, 6-1-1982; amd. Ord. 2021-4921, 9-20-2021)
3-1-9: PENALTIES:
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be fined as established by Title 1, Chapter 20, “Fees, Fines, Insurance, Guarantees, and Regulatory Measures”. (Ord. 96-2776, 5-20-1996; amd. Ord. 2021-4921, 9-20-2021)
