(A) The duties of the Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will be as follows:
1. Plan for bicyclists and pedestrians as part of a Village wide and regional multi-use transportation system;
2. Evaluate and prioritize ways to improve the level of bicycle and pedestrian services, trails, paths, on-street bikeways, and other economically feasible projects;
3. Identify high-priority projects that improve safety for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians, while reducing vehicle and bike/pedestrian conflicts;
4. Establish communications with bicycle and pedestrian advocacy groups such as Ride Illinois, Active Transportation Alliance, and other related community groups;
5. Make recommendations to the Village Board for the planning of bikeway and pedestrian routes; and
6. Perform such other duties and functions as may be requested of it by the Mayor and Village Board. (Ord. 2018-4763, 5-7-2018)
