(a) There is hereby created the position of Cemetery Foreman within the Village Cemetery Department.
(b) The compensation for the position shall be as established by ordinance.
(c) The duties of the position of Cemetery Foreman shall include the following responsibilities:
(1) The upkeep and maintenance of all equipment. All tools and property of the cemetery should be kept in top running order and maintained to the best of the Foreman's ability.
(2) The Foreman should be responsible for the selling, layout, digging, and all aspects of a funeral. He should also be responsible for the handling and positioning of foundations and oversee the setting of stones.
(3) The Foreman should work along side his coworkers in the upkeep of the grounds, including but not limited to: mowing, trimming, snow and leaf removal, repair of minor vandalism, and any other problems that should arise.
(4) The Foreman should oversee the other employees and delegate work according to the needs and best interest of the cemetery. He should be fair and impartial; understanding with the employees, but still remember that the Foreman's employer is the Cemetery Board and the Village. Therefore, he should report any disciplinary actions, absenteeism or behavior that is unbecoming to a Village employee to the Board immediately.
