§ 70.01 UNNECESSARY VEHICLE ENTERTAINMENT AND NOISE.
   (A)   Vehicles with radios or other stereo entertainment equipment played with unnecessary volume are disruptive to the peace of the community; disruptive to meetings and gatherings, disturbing to the citizens, a safety hazard that renders the driver of the vehicle or other nearby vehicles unable to hear emergency vehicle sirens or other warning devices; startling to pedestrians or other drivers; and causes unnecessary vibrations to the windows of houses and businesses, disturbing the persons inside the building.
   (B)   Semi-trucks that abuse the peace of the community or cause a disturbance to the public or pedestrians by engine brake (known as jake braking) with the city limits, shall also be considered as an operator or owner of a vehicle and shall fall under the same guidelines used for vehicle entertainment noises.
   (C)   If the operator or owner of a vehicle has been issued one written warning from the Linton police due to unnecessary noises or annoying vibrations, the second notification will consider the operator or owner of the vehicle to be willfully disturbing or allowing disturbance of the peace, disorderly conduct, and creating a public nuisance. The vehicle will be towed away and owner will be responsible for towing and impoundment charges incurred.
