131.03 PROCEDURES IN THE EVENT OF THE ABSENCE OF THE MAYOR.

When the Mayor is absent from the Village or for any reason is temporarily unable to perform his or her duties, the President of Council shall become the Acting Mayor, and while so acting, shall have and exercise all the powers of the Mayor, with the exception of the veto power, but the President of Council shall not thereby cease to be a member of Council. The Council may also elect a temporary acting President of Council.
