505.11 HUNTING PROHIBITED.
   (a)   No person shall hunt, kill or attempt to kill, any animal or fowl by the use of firearms, bow and arrow, air rifle or any other means within the corporate limits of the Municipality.
   (b)   No person shall trap, snare or use some other method of capturing, restraining or retaining device within the corporate limits of the Municipality for the purpose of killing any animal or fowl.
   (c)   Any person wishing to trap any animal or fowl for any other purpose must apply to the Chief of Police or his designee for permission. This permission will be granted only after the following specific conditions are met:
      (1)   The device used must be appropriate to the animal or fowl to be captured.
      (2)   The device must be humane in nature.
      (3)   The person must have requested permission from an appropriate agency (e.g., SPCA, Rescue Societies, Humane Society, etc.) with arrangements having been made to turn said animal or fowl over to that agency.
      (4)   The person must meet any other criteria determined to be proper for the type of animal or fowl to be trapped, as determined by the Chief of Police or his designee.
   (d)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
