147.11 DRUG FREE WORK PLACE POLICY.
   (a)   It is the policy statement of the Village to provide safe, dependable and efficient government services to the public. Village employees are a valuable and important resource and it is therefore the Village’s policy to provide a healthy, safe and satisfying working environment for its employees as well as to staff that working environment only with employees who are fit for duty. In order to advance this position, the Village has, through its Mayor and Council, set the requirements for entering Village employment, retaining Village employment, and/or advancing in the service of the Village.
   (b)   The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to promulgate and adopt an anti-drug program, including policies, as she may determine and as may be required by various federal laws and regulations in connection with the application for, receipt of, and expenditure of federal grant funds, including but not limited to 49 CFR Part 653 and Government-wide requirements for drug- free workplace (grants).
