(a) The occupant of each dwelling unit located within a residential building in the Village of Linndale shall be required to install said carbon monoxide detector near the bedroom or bedrooms of the dwelling unit and to maintain the said carbon monoxide detector in good working order.
(b) Any occupant who willfully fails to install and maintain the carbon monoxide detector provided to him by the Village shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Each day a failure to install or maintain the carbon monoxide detector provided to the residence continues shall be considered a separate violation of this chapter.
