Whoever violates any provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree and shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) or imprisoned not more than six (6) months or both. Each day during which non-compliance or a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. The Building Official prior to citing or denying the issuance of a registration to any contractor for violations under the provisions of this chapter, shall inform the Mayor in writing, with copies to all members of Council. Upon approval of the Mayor to proceed, the Building Official shall carry out the provisions of this chapter.
