(a) When a police department employee, excluding the Chief of Police, works on a day observed as a holiday (holidays listed below), the employee shall be entitled to pay for such time worked at thirteen dollars ($13.00) per hour, in addition to the employee's regular salary:

(b) Only pertaining to the Chief of Police: If any of the foregoing eleven holidays shall occur in any given year on a Saturday, then the Friday immediately preceding that weekend shall be deemed to be that holiday for purposes of this section.
(c) Only pertaining to the Chief of Police: If any of the foregoing eleven holidays shall occur in any given year on a Sunday, then the Monday immediately following that weekend shall be deemed to be that holiday for purposes of this section.
