(a) Purpose. To provide guidelines to employees for proper use of the ADP TimeKeeping system for time and attendance and to ensure that time records are accurately reported.
(b) Policy. Village of Linndale requires all employees to be at their assigned workstation and ready to begin work by their scheduled start time.
(c) Responsibilities.
(1) Employee.
A. Hourly paid employees are required to use the time and attendance system (ADP TimeKeeping) by punching in and out using the electronic app or website.
B. No employee is allowed to punch in or out for another employee under any circumstances.
(2) Chief of Police/Supervisors.
A. Review employee records daily and account for any missed or erroneous time stamps. Manually enter any time stamps an employee misses and delete any erroneous time stamps.
B. Responsible for reviewing, approving and reporting all hours worked and any paid time off for each employee.
C. Enter appropriate pay codes for sick leave, holiday leave, comp time or any paid time off for each employee.
D. Make appropriate employee schedule changes when necessary.
E. Ensure employees work according to their scheduled time.
F. Ensure that new employees are properly trained in using the ADP TimeKeeping system.
G. Verify timesheet accuracy and physically or electronically sign off on individual timesheets prior to submitting to the payroll department for processing.
