The position of Reserve police officer is hereby established. Persons holding this position shall be certified as police officers by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Council and shall continue to hold a valid certification. They will serve the community on a volunteer basis and will receive no compensation of any type. They will have all enforcement powers of the law. The Safety Director will have authority to appoint and remove individuals as Reserve police officers. Reserve police officers will follow all rules, regulations, orders and training requirements of the Police Department.
