139.02 AUXILIARY POLICE UNIT.
   (a)    There is hereby established an auxiliary police unit within the Police Department.
   (b)    The Mayor shall be the head of the auxiliary police unit and shall make all appointments and removals of auxiliary police officers and shall prescribe Rules and Regulations for the organization, training, administration, controlling, and conduct of the auxiliary police unit.
   (c)    The Chief of Police shall have exclusive control of the stationing and transferring of all auxiliary police officers, under such general Rules and Regulations as the Mayor prescribes.

   (d)   All members of the Village of Linndale Auxiliary Police Unit shall be authorized to carry duty weapons while on duty for the Village of Linndale, Ohio provided that they have been duly certified by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy as fully trained in the use of the duty weapon, and as having completed the required curriculum therefore as specified by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy. No auxiliary police officer shall be permitted to carry a duty weapon until a copy of said certification has been delivered to the Director of Public Safety of the Village of Linndale, Ohio and filed with the Chief of Police.

   (e)   The following compensation rate of one dollar ($1.00) per quarter hereby established for the Auxiliary Officers and Volunteers for the Village of Linndale.
