(A) All monuments and markers shall be placed in the space shown on the cemetery plat or as directed by the city.
(B) No monument or marker may be placed unless the location has been approved by the city and the full purchase price/license fee of the lot has been paid.
(C) Monuments and markers must be constructed of granite, marble or bronze material.
(D) (1) In general, the base area of monuments shall not exceed four feet, five inches in width by 20 inches in length; nor shall the base with the marker protrude above the surface of the ground.
(2) The base area of monuments for cremation lots in the Second Addition shall not exceed two feet in width by two and one-half feet in length.
(E) Only flat headstone and footstone markers are allowed in the First Addition of the Fairview Cemetery.
(F) Only flat headstone markers are allowed in the Second Addition of the Fairview Cemetery, except for military markers, which are typically footstone markers.
(G) The city is not responsible for damage done to monuments in the cemetery.
(H) Monuments are considered the private property of the relatives of the deceased and the relatives are, therefore, responsible for their care and maintenance.
