§ 51.22 GREASE, OIL, AND SAND INTERCEPTORS.
   (A)   Grease, oil, and sand interceptors or traps shall be installed by the user at the user’s own expense when, in the opinion of the Sewer Department, these are necessary for the proper handling of liquid wastes containing grease, oils, or sand in excessive amounts, or any inflammable wastes, or other harmful ingredients. The interceptors shall be of a type and capacity approved by the Department and shall be located so as to be readily and easily accessible for cleaning by the user and for inspection by the Department.
   (B)   Where installed, all grease, oil, and sand interceptors shall be maintained by the user, at his or her own expense, and shall be kept in continuous and efficient operation at all times.
