§ 95.27 CEMETERY INSPECTION AND CARE; EXPENSES.
   The Cemetery Board shall, annually, before May 1, and at such other times as are necessary, visit and inspect the cemetery and order proper care of burial lots, by cleaning, leveling, seeding, sodding, mowing, and the like, as the conditions thereof may require, and continuous mowing throughout the ensuing year, of each burial lot, shall be had, and the Board shall direct the care and maintenance of lots and appurtenances thereon so as to keep the cemetery in the proper state of appearance and preservation. The expense thereof shall not exceed the annual income of the funds held in trust for such lot or lots, or the accumulated interest, and the Board may make a contract with the sexton of the cemetery, or some other competent person, for such care as is herein provided, at a stated annual charge, which contract may be for one year, or more, all as shall be determined by the Board. Claims against the fund, as well as all claims against the cemetery, shall be made and passed upon, as other claims against the village. The accounts of the cemetery, and of the perpetual care fund, shall be audited in the same manner as other accounts of the village.
