§ 71.07 OPERATION OF GOLF CARTS.
   (A)   Authority. This section is created pursuant to and as authorized by, Wis. Stats. § 349.18(1m).
   (B)   Definition. A GOLF CART is a motor vehicle designed to:
      (1)   Carry no more than four persons.
      (2)   Carry golf equipment.
      (3)   Have not less than three wheels in contact with the ground.
      (4)   Operate at a maximum speed of 15 mph.
      (5)   Weigh no more than 1,300 pounds unladen (empty).
   (C)   Operation of golf carts. Any person with a valid motor vehicle operator's license may operate a golf cart on any street within the village with a speed limit of no greater than 25 mph except that no person may operate a golf cart on or across any state track highway or connecting highway.
   (D)   Speed limit. No golf cart may be operated at a speed greater than 10 mph.
   (E)   Penalties. The forfeiture for violation of this section shall be $20 together with applicable court costs, fees and assessments.
