(A) It shall be unlawful to operate on any street any motor vehicle which is not equipped with tires conforming to the requirements of the State Traffic Law.

(B) It shall be permissible during periods of heavy snowfall to use automobiles, trucks and busses equipped with chains or other nonskid devices upon the tires thereof upon the village streets. Tractors or other prime movers utilizing metallic wheels or tracks of which protruding metal lugs are an integral part shall be prohibited for use on village streets. ('68 Code, § 65.37)
