It is unlawful for any person to intentionally smell or inhale fumes into his or her respiratory or circulatory system for the purpose of causing a condition of intoxication, euphoria, excitement, exhilaration, stupefaction, or dulling of the senses or nervous system. This shall not prohibit the inhalation of any anesthesia for medical or dental purposes.
