If the responsible party wishes to appeal emergency response cost, the responsible party shall appeal to the City of Lincoln Park Treasurer’s Office. This shall be done in writing no later than thirty (30) days after invoice of emergency response costs.
(a) The appeal shall be addressed to the City Treasurer who shall make an initial determination.
(b) The City shall only accept appeals for individuals that:
(1) Are found not to be responsible for the incident, or
(2) Can show an undue burden of cost.
(c) The City Treasurer shall respond to the appeal within ten (10) business days of receipt.
(d) If the individual wishes to further appeal the decision of the City Treasurer, they shall appeal to the City Council within 10 business days of receipt of the City Manager's decision.
