To ensure that all alarm equipment is properly maintained in good operating order and to minimize the cost to the City for false alarms, the owner or lessee of an alarm system will be assessed the following sums to defray the cost of response time in a false alarm occurrence:
(a) For a first false alarm in a twelve-month period, no fees shall be assessed.
(b) For a second false alarm in a twelve-month period, no fees shall be assessed.
(c) For a third false alarm in a twelve-month period, the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) will be assessed against the owner/lessor of an alarm system.
(d) All false alarms subsequent to the third false alarm within a twelve-month period will be assessed at the rate of fifty dollars ($50.00) each.
