(a) No person shall engage in the business of mechanical contractor or perform any mechanical work in the City without first registering his or her license as provided for in this chapter.
(b) All mechanical contractors licensed under Act 192 of the Public Acts of 1984, as amended (M.C.L.A. 338.971 through 338.988), and doing mechanical work in the City, shall, on or before January 1 of each year, cause their names to be registered with the Building Department.
