(a) The fee for a permit for moving a building or structure in, within or through the City shall be as set forth in this subsection. For the moving of a building or structure from its location on a parcel of land to some other location, with or without passing over or going upon a public street or way, the fee shall be as follows:
Structure moved 1/4 mile or under $150.00
Over 1/4 mile 150.00 plus $50.00 per each additional 1/4 mile
(b) Prior to the issuance of a moving permit by the Building Department, approval of the date, time schedule, route and destination must be obtained from the Department of Public Works and Public Services, the County or State Signal Bureau, the Traffic Safety Division, the City Engineer and the Fire Marshal's office. A deposit of five thousand dollars ($5,000) must be paid to the City Treasurer as a cash bond to cover any damage to public property on or along the route incurred as a result of the moving operation.
