(a) Establishment of Position. There is hereby established in and for the City the position of Plan Reviewer, pursuant to Chapter IV of the City Charter.

(b) Compensation. The Plan Reviewer shall receive such salary as determined from time to time by Council. The Plan Reviewer shall receive retirement benefits, but shall receive no other fringe benefits.
Such salary shall be paid in equal payments on the regular pay days established for classified employees.

(c) Duties. The duties of the Plan Reviewer shall include, but not be limited to:
(1) Providing a systematic analysis of proposed developments in light of requirements prescribed by the Zoning Code for specific occupancies in specific zoning districts;
(2) Checking the legal description of property as supplied by the applicant;
(3) Performing field checks of proposed sites to ensure compatibility with existing structures;
(4) Checking all aspects of developments to ensure compliance with Section 1290.29 of the Zoning Code;
(5) Submitting written reports and recommendations to the Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals; and
(6) Performing such other duties as may be required by the Mayor, or the Mayor and Council, and submitting such reports as may be required by the Mayor or the Mayor and Council.
