(a) No permit required by this chapter shall be granted by the Superintendent of Public Works until the equipment has been inspected under such terms as set forth by the Department of Public Works and Public Services and upon payment of an inspection fee for each piece of equipment so inspected. The inspection fees shall be determined by the Superintendent subject to approval by Council.
(b) Any permit granted shall be immediately revocable without further action if for any reason the insurance required has been revoked or cancelled.
(c) No permit shall be issued by the Superintendent until the City Clerk notifies him or her that the insurance policies required have been filed in the office of the City Clerk.
(d) All such permits shall expire on September 30 of each year and shall not be transferable during the permit term.
