The license fee shall be twenty dollars ($20.00) for each license issued under this chapter. Such licenses shall cover one place of business, which place of business shall be stated therein, and such license shall not be assignable or transferable for any cause whatsoever. Every such license shall expire upon the first Tuesday in May succeeding the issuance thereof.
