Upon receipt of an application for a registration certificate, the City Clerk shall investigate or cause to be investigated such application to ascertain whether or not the business, trade or industry is permitted to be conducted or operated in the location indicated in the application in accordance with the Zoning Code of the City. If such application conforms to the Zoning Code, a registration certificate shall be issued to the applicant upon payment of a registration fee of ten dollars ($10.00). Such certificate shall set forth the name of the registrant, the location where such business, trade or industry is operated and the nature of the business, trade or industry so operated.
