The City Clerk is hereby authorized to grant a license to any reputable person who is a citizen of the United States, or to any partnership or corporation, to engage in the business of a junk dealer, for the purchase and sale of articles mentioned in Section 842.01, upon filing an application therefor and paying into the City treasury a license fee as set forth in Section 842.04, and upon executing a bond in the penal sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000), with one or more sureties to be approved by the City Clerk, conditioned that he or she will faithfully observe the provisions of this chapter.
