Before any license required by this chapter is issued, the applicant shall pay to the City Treasurer the fee required by the following schedule:
(a) For peddling by foot or by handcart, two dollars ($2.00) a day for any number of days not exceeding ten, and for any number of days exceeding ten and not exceeding one year, twenty dollars ($20.00) for hawking and vending;
(b) For peddling from or with a wagon, truck or other vehicle propelled by power, five dollars ($5.00) per year.
