824.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)   "Bakery" means an establishment wherein bread, cakes and/or pastries are prepared, baked and/or sold at wholesale or retail.
   (b)   "Bulk food establishment" means any establishment where food in bulk, package, metal, pasteboard, glass or plastic container is held, stored or offered for sale.
   (c)   "Capacity" means the maximum number of seating facilities for patrons.
   (d)   "Employee" means any person who handles food or drink during preparation or serving, who comes in contact with eating or cooking utensils or who is employed in a room in which food or drink is prepared or served.
   (e)   "Health Department" means the County Health Department.
   (f)   "Health Officer" means the County Health Department or, if such Department ceases to exist or ceases to make the inspections or health examinations required by this chapter, the Health Officer of the City or his or her authorized representative.
   (g)   "Itinerant restaurant" means a restaurant operating for a temporary period in connection with a fair, carnival, circus, public exhibition or similar gathering.
   (h)   "Restaurant" means a restaurant, coffee shop, cafeteria, short-order cafe, luncheonette, tavern, sandwich stand, soda fountain and all other eating or drinking establishments, as well as kitchens or other places in which food or drink is prepared for sale on the premises or elsewhere.
   (i)   "Utensils" means any kitchenware, tableware, glassware, cutlery, containers or other equipment with which food or drink comes in contact during storage, preparation or serving.
