No person shall steal any of the following items of property of another if the value of the property stolen is one hundred dollars ($100.00) or less: any money, goods or chattels; any bank note, bank bill, bond, promissory note, due bill, bill of exchange or other bill, draft, order or certificate; any book of accounts for or concerning money or goods due, to become due or to be delivered; any deed or writing containing a conveyance of land or any other valuable contract in force; any receipt, release or defeasance; or any writ, process or public record.
