297.01 PURPOSE.

The City hereby establishes the following provisions for the purpose of providing post-retirement health benefits for employees of the City who were former members of the Policemen's and Firemen's Retirement System, their spouses, beneficiaries and dependents, and to provide a mechanism of advance funding for the projected cost of those health benefits.
