The Retirement Reserve Fund, heretofore established by the Charter, as amended, is hereby retained. It shall be the fund from which shall be paid all annuities and pensions payable as provided in this chapter. If a disability retiree returns to active service in the employ of the City, his or her annuity reserve at that time shall be transferred from the Retirement Reserve Fund to the Annuity Savings Fund and shall be credited to his or her individual account therein. His or her pension reserve at that time shall be transferred from the Retirement Reserve Fund to the Pension Reserve Fund.
