276.02 COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENTS; TERMS OF OFFICE; VACANCIES; ELIGIBILITY.
   The Local Officers Compensation Commission shall consist of seven members who are registered electors of the City, appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by a majority of the members elected and serving on Council. The terms of office of members of the Commission shall be seven years, except that of the members first appointed, one each shall be appointed for terms of one, two, three, four, five, six and seven years. The first members shall be appointed within thirty days after the effective date of this chapter (Resolution 84-248, passed March 5, 1984). Members, other than the first members, shall be appointed before October 1 of the year of appointment. Vacancies shall be filled for the remainder of the unexpired term. No member or employee of the legislative, judicial or executive branch of government and no member of the immediate family of a member or employee of the legislative, judicial or executive branch of government shall be a member of the Commission.
