238.01 DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICES.
   (a)   General Statement of Duties. The Director of Public Services is responsible for the supervision of the engineering consultant; assists, designs and approves City infrastructure improvements including streets, drainage, water and wastewater distribution facilities; serves as project manager and contract administrator for City infrastructure projects. The Director of Public Services shall supervise buildings, grounds, streets and public services, and utilities and support services.
   (b)   Design Duties. The Director shall plan, and direct construction and maintenance of structures and facilities, including roads, railroads, bridges, pipelines, power plants, water and sewage systems, and waste disposal units, pursuant to the direction of the Mayor and City Council and shall assume all other duties conferred by the City Charter.
   (c)   Minimum Requirements. The Director shall possess a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration, Business and five to seven years of supervisory experience in public services or related field, OR ten years senior management experience in public services. Preferred S-1 Operator License.
