The Health Officer shall, by himself or herself or his or her subordinates, supervise and inform himself or herself concerning the collection of garbage, the removal of nuisances and all matters and conditions pertaining to the preservation or protection of the public health by an examination or inspection of the streets, lanes, alleys and places of public resort, including boardinghouses and lodginghouses, and all places or premises open to the public. For this purpose, he or she may require the assistance of the police officers of the City.
