(a) Pursuant to the authority contained in Act 63 of the Public Acts of 1981, as amended (M.C.L.A. 333.2891), there is hereby adopted a system of fees for birth and death records.

(b) Such fees are as follows:
(1) There shall be a fee of five dollars ($5.00) for a search including one copy, one certified copy or one certificate of registration of a birth or death record.
(2) There shall be a fee of three dollars ($3.00) for each additional identical copy ordered at the same time as the first copy.
(3) A person sixty-five years of age or older shall be charged a fee of three dollars ($3.00) for a search and one copy, one certified copy or one certificate of registration of his or her birth record.
