(A) The Education Commission shall consist of five members appointed by Council. They shall be citizens of the village and serve a term of four years. At the time of the first appointment under this charter, three members will be appointed for four year terms and two will be for two-year terms. Thereafter, all appointments will be for a four-year terms. Membership shall consist of two high school students and three adults.
(B) The Education Commission shall consider and study matters relating to pre-school training, truancy, drop-outs, juvenile delinquency, illiteracy, adult education, tutoring, scholarship awards, career counseling, and other related subjects which will improve the quality of education for citizens in the village.
(C) The Education Commission shall act as an advisory body to the Council in all educational matters. It shall make an annual report to the Village Manager and Council regarding the quality of education in the village with recommendations which it deems appropriate.
