The term of office for the members of the regional transportation commission shall be two (2) years, and shall expire on December 31 of their respective years. The first representative shall be selected within thirty (30) days after passage of the ordinance creating the regional transportation commission, and shall serve until the next ensuing December 31 of an even number year.
