§ 151.01 ADOPTION OF BUILDING CODE.
   (A)   The State Building Code, including the 2007 edition of the State Residential Code Book, as promulgated in 815 KAR7:125 by the Board of Housing, Buildings and Construction, is hereby adopted for full application on all building construction in the county as if set out at length herein.
      (1)   A copy of the code, together with a copy of all other regulations of NFPA pamphlets adopted or referred to thereunder, is on file in the County Clerk’s office, and the Clerk shall at all times keep a copy of the building code for reference.
      (2)   An attested copy of the code shall be transmitted to the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction of the commonwealth.
   (B)   The Building Construction Inspector, or his or her employees, shall be designated as the local enforcement agents for the code. All inspections shall be performed by persons certified by the State Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction.
   (C)   The application of the code is hereby extended to require permits, inspections and certificates of occupancy for the construction or alteration (new additions where electrical or sewer is needed on existing dwellings) of all single-family dwellings to be constructed in the county.
   (D)   The fee for the construction inspection will be $200. The fee shall cover the cost of plan review and inspection and issuance of a certificate of occupancy.
   (E)   As to fees for commercial buildings, any such fee charged shall match the fee charged by the Level III Building Inspector.
