1466.01   PERMITS REQUIRED; EXCEPTIONS.
   No person shall install any wiring, devices, appliances or equipment for the transmission, distribution or utilization of electrical energy for any purpose, within or on any building or structure or make any alteration or addition in any existing wiring, devices, appliances or equipment without first securing a permit therefor from the Building Commissioner, except as follows:
   (A)   No permit shall be required for minor repair work, for the replacement of lamps or for the connection of portable devices to suitable receptacles which have been permanently installed.
   (B)   No permit shall be required for the installation, maintenance or alteration of electric wiring, devices, appliances or equipment to be installed by or for an electric public service corporation for the use of such corporation in the generation, transmission, distribution or metering of electrical energy or for the use of such corporation in the operation of signals or the transmission of intelligence. This exception to the permit requirement shall not apply to new building construction. This subsection shall conform to the provisions of Section 1458.05(A).
