§ 678.10 POINTING AND DISCHARGING FIREARMS AND OTHER WEAPONS.
   (a)   Except as provided in divisions (c), (d) and (e) of this section, no person shall discharge any air gun, paintball gun or marker, rifle, shotgun, revolver, pistol or other firearm, or make use of any sling or arrow, within the corporate limits of the Municipality.
   (b)   No person shall point or aim any device listed in division (a) of this section, or any other type of firearm at or toward another person.
   (c)   This section does not extend to cases in which such devices, firearms, slings or arrows are used in self-defense, in the discharge of official duty, or in justifiable homicide.
   (d)   This section does not extend to a commercial recreational facility authorized in Section 1252.01(A)(10) of these Codified Ordinances.
   (e)   This section does not extend to a properly operated shooting range, site, or location approved by the City of Lima evidenced by a certificate of occupancy, obtained pursuant to Section 1408.05 of these Codified Ordinances.
   (f)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Punishment shall be as provided in § 698.02.
