There is hereby adopted in and for the City a policy allowing for the reimbursement to City employees of gratuity and other tip expenses incurred while on City business during the course of City employment. However, the maximum amount for reimbursable gratuities or tips shall be fifteen percent of the underlying cost of the service and/or goods provided, and the maximum amount for reimbursable gratuities or tips for which there is no underlying cost or charge shall be five dollars ($5.00). Further, no such gratuity or tip shall be subject to reimbursement unless it is accompanied by a proper receipt.
