An employee may waive any portion of his or her compensation or any benefit established by Council. All such waivers shall be effective upon filing therefor with the City Auditor, except that employees in the classified service must also file the written consent therefor of the Civil Service Board. If an employee withdraws any such waiver or files a new waiver, the Auditor shall immediately notify the employee's appointing authority in writing.
