(A) Each employee shall be paid his usual and normal salary and compensation during such time as he is called for jury duty, or serves as a member of a jury, or as a subpoenaed witness, In any case ln any court, provided such employee turns over the compensation received by him for court service to the Auditor. If an employee's jury or witness service consumes only a portion of a work day, the employee shall report to work for the remainder of the work day.
(B) This section shall not apply to police officers who serve as witnesses pursuant to Section 244.20.
