244.256   BASIC PAY PLAN AND BENEFITS FOR THE CHIEF OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND MAJORS.
   (A)   An employee holding the position of Police Chief or Major is an exempt salaried employee of the City, and shall receive and be subject to those same economic and health care employee benefits as are set forth in the currently valid Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council, Inc, (Sergeants/Lieutenants) except for those provisions relating to overtime, hours of work, discipline, union representation, or that are otherwise inconsistent with the treatment of salaried employees.
   (B)   An employee holding the position of Police Chief or Major shall be paid the following annual salary for calendar year 2002:
      Chief of Police:   $71,610.50
      Major:      $66,306.24
   (C)   The annual salary of the Chief and Majors shall be increased thereafter by the same percentage as the percentage wage increase granted to Sergeants and Lieutenants of the Police Department pursuant to a collective bargaining agreement.
