(a) An employee holding the position of Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Chief is an exempt salaried employee of the City, and shall be paid an annualized salary as follows, effective beginning the next pay period after passage of this section.
(1) Fire Chief: $100,391.44
with EMT-B certification $102,399.48
with EMT-P certification $106,415.20
(2) Deputy Chief: $92,962.47
with EMT-B certification $94,821.92
with EMT-P certification $98,540.48
(b) The annual salary of the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chiefs shall be increased beginning January 1 of every year thereafter by the same percentage as any percentage wage increase granted to International Association of Firefighters, Local 334 members of the fire department pursuant to a collective bargaining agreement between the IAFF and the City.
(c) An employee holding the position of Fire Chief or Deputy Chief is an exempt salaried employee of the City, and shall receive and be subject to those same economic and health care employee benefits as are set forth in the then valid Collective Bargaining Agreement between The City of Lima, Ohio, and the International Association of Firefighters, Local #334, except for those provisions relating to overtime, hours of work, discipline, union representation, or that are otherwise inconsistent with the treatment of salaried employees, as determined applicable by the Auditor.
