244.09   PAYMENT OF ACCUMULATED VACATION TIME.
   In the event of the retirement of any City employee, payment for accrued, but unused, vacation time shall be made to the employee In a lump sum.
   In the event of the death of an employee, such payment shall be made to the estate of the decedent or, in the event there is no estate, to any person authorized to receive such payment by a court having jurisdiction of the matter. However, no payment shall be made until a certified copy of letters of appointment or release from administration is presented to the City Auditor.
