(A) The employees appointed as Code Enforcement Officers in the Department of Community Development shall have the duty to conserve the peace and enforce all laws within the City and shall have the authority to arrest violators of the ordinances of the City and the laws of the State, within the City, and to serve summonses, warrants and all other legal writs and processes. The appropriate peace officer's training, as determined by the Ohio Peace Officer's Training Council, shall be required for this position.
(B) The Code Enforcement Officers are hereby also authorized to prevent noise and disturbance and indecent and disorderly conduct, preserve the peace and good order and protect the property of the City beyond the geographical limits of the City on property owned by the City, pursuant to Ohio R.C. 715.49 and 715.50.
