§ 30.05  COMPELLING ATTENDANCE OF ABSENT MEMBERS; PENALTY; EXCEPTIONS.
   When present at any meeting of the Town Board, whether with or without quorum, any one of the Commissioners shall have authority to direct any officer in attendance upon the Board to immediately bring before such Board and any member thereof not absent by permission of the Board, nor unavoidably otherwise prevented from voluntarily attending, in which latter event any excuse to be made by such member shall be made upon his or her appearance with the officer, and not otherwise, serious cases of illness or inability excepted; provided, that if any member shall refuse and neglect to come with any such officer so sent for him or her, then and in the event he or she shall be subject to a penalty as provided in § 30.99; provided further, that the Board as a whole may exercise a discretion and remit such fine if it shall cause to be spread upon the minutes in full the proceedings had by which such absent member was compelled to attend.
